Russia is a land of extremes. The world's largest country hosts many environments, landforms, and natural resources. However, a sprawling habitat has not translated into an easy life for most of the country's people. Much of Russia's history has been a grim tale of the wealthy and powerful few ruling over a great mass of the poor and powerless. Although the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 brought profound political and economic changes, Russians have had to endure a weak economy, high inflation, and fury of social ills for much of the post communist era.
Today, Russia and its tyrannical leader, Vladamir Putin, are involved in several proxy wars and recently have invaded Ukraine despite significant global opposition. The Church must contend for Putin to be brought to his knees before the King of Kings. This is the hour of deliverance for God's children to be set free from communistic ideology through the Truth of the Gospel.
In Russian, "Grozny" means "fearsome", "menacing", or "redoubtable", the same word as in Ivan Grozny (Ivan the Terrible). It was founded in 1818 as a military fort.
