The former capital of the ancient Buddhist kingdom of Gandhara, Peshawar, is the capital city of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan. The nation is historically and culturally related to Iran, Afghanistan, and India. Since gaining independence in 1947, Pakistan has struggled to attain political stability and sustained social development.

The country is estimated to be the home of 4 million orphaned children and 3.5 million Afghan refugees. Jesus followers in Karachi are often severely persecuted.

Since conversations between the Pakistani government and prominent terrorist groups dissolved in 2021, there has been a sharp increase in attacks targeting Jesus followers. The time is now for the Bride of Christ to stand with the church in Pakistan and pray for the advancement of the gospel in every unreached tribe in Peshawar.
